BIRTHDAY BOOKS
Why not honor your child’s birthday with a lasting gift? The Birthday Book Program offers an opportunity to celebrate your child’s birthday and contribute to the library book collection. For $20, your child may choose a new book selected for the Birthday Book Program. The month of your child’s birthday, our librarian will invite your child to select a book of their liking from a cart full of new, age-appropriate books.
Special recognition will be given to your student by adorning a bookplate placed inside the book’s front cover with the child’s name and birthday. The honored child will enjoy being the first to borrow the Birthday Book, and students will enjoy seeing their friend’s name inside the book for years to come. Participation in the Birthday Book Program is optional.
If you prefer to celebrate your child in another way, books can be gifted to the library for other reasons besides birthdays. For example, perhaps your child learned to ride a bike this summer or earned a new scouting rank. Grandparents or other relatives may also contribute books in a child’s honor.
